Student initiatives provide the driving force for progressive growth. Team work in academic & extra-curricular activities, is an integral part of life at CEPT and enables students from diverse background & varied skill sets complement each other, in their pursuit of knowledge.
CEPT has a vibrant cultural wing. These cultural events range from the nine nights of Garba with vibrant colour & dance, to Roots - the annual college festival where all talent is unleashed.
Rock concerts, workshops on Classical dance & Salsa, Film shows provide the much awaited break from a rigorous academic schedule. There is an active sports wing which encourages participation in various intra & inters college tournaments.
NOSPLAN 2008
The National Organization of Students of Planning provides a platform for students of various planning institutes spread across country, teachers & professionals working in the field; to debate & discuss various issues of relevance & orient students to the varied dimensions of development. Faculty of Planning & Public Policy, CEPT University is hosting NOSPLAN in February, 2008. Workshops conducted throughout the year, augment the students' knowledge & facilitate their interaction with the prominent professionals in that field. The recent workshops include Urban Disaster & Risk Mitigation (Strengthening Local Authorities in Risk Management), Urban Planning, Transport, and GIS for Sustainable Development & Management.
Apart from academic curriculum, the college has also introduced various courses which lead to the holistic development of the individual. The students take up modules such as Gandhian Thought, Stress Management, Communication Skills, and Creative Management & Personality Development. |
