Profile
Prof. Darshini Mahadevia is Masters in Urban and Regional Planning, from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi and PhD from CSRD, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Has been Visiting Scholar at School of Urban Planning, McGill University, Montreal and Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Planning, UCLA; has been Asian Scholarship Foundation fellow at Tsinghua University, Beijing and Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, Tianjin. Had and has research collaboration with McGill University, ISS The Hague and IDS Sussex and with NGOs in India such as SEWA, Saath. Has delivered lectures on urban issues in India, at various international and national events. Consultant to NGos and UN organizations such as UNDP, IOM. Has 9 books and booklets, 60 articles in journals and books and 22 articles in newspapers to her credit.
